Myco Method Psilocybin Facilitator Training Program Oregon

Psilocybin Facilitator Training Program

Previously approved by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) from March 2023 to February 2025, Myco-Method remains one of the first curriculums to meet state standards in the early rollout of Oregon's Measure 109. Myco-Method is an intensive and comprehensive program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to become effective and responsible facilitators of interfaith psilocybin-assisted growth and healing. The program consists of several sections, each focusing on different aspects of psilocybin session facilitation, such as tools and practices, pharmacology, psychological effects, therapeutic relationship, preparation, integration, and ethics.

Participants learn about the history and current state of psilocybin research, the neurobiology and pharmacology of psilocybin, and best practices for working with participants before, during, and after a psilocybin session. The training also emphasizes the development of interpersonal skills, cultural humility, and ethical principles. Participants who complete the program will be prepared to facilitate psilocybin sessions in a responsible and ethical manner.

Online course

The Myco-Method Online Course is designed to be self-paced, allowing you to complete the requirements at your convenience. It is designed to contain a minimum of 60 hours of online learning necessary to prepare participants to responsibly facilitate psilocybin sessions.

In-person training

To successfully complete the full Myco-Method Psilocybin Facilitator Training Program, participants must meet additional hour requirements, including an additional 60 hours of in-person residency training, and 40 hours of supervised practicum. These hour requirements ensure that participants receive a thorough education on facilitating psilocybin sessions and are well-prepared to work as facilitators.
